Idea Pool
The Idea Pool with its slogan "Your Idea - Our Star" is a group wide initiative by Freudenberg, which wants to benefit from the inventiveness and creativity of all Freudenberg employees. The Idea Pool facilitates the employees to submit their business ideas and concepts to initiate its realization. Corporate contact for the Idea Pool is Dr. Matthias Messer.
The group wide Idea Pool is an additional operation to the activities of the business units, no replacement. Especially it targets ideas not directly relevant to employee’s own business unit. Ideas which are in the focus of a business unit will be forwarded. All other ideas will be further evaluated by the NBD division.
The employee receives feedback and an estimation of his or her business idea. Ideas realized by the NBD division will be financially rewarded depending on the milestones achieved. If the employee’s business idea reaches the Start-up Stage, he or she gets a total reward of 30.000 EUR. In addition, associates have an opportunity to take part in the implementation of their ideas.
On top of this an annual “New Business Idea Award“ has been established. This prize together with 2.000 € is awarded to outstanding NBD Ideas still in implementation.
